It’s day one!

Today is day one here at FuturaYA.

Protect your present, secure your Future is the slogan we came up with as we are on a mission to make Cloud workloads and Cybersecurity easy to manage and deploy, in a cost effective fashion.

Why the name? And how do I pronounce it?

The pronunciation is Foo Too RAA Ja, which means The Future is NOW: Futura, comes from Future and YA, comes from the spanish word YA, which means now.

It was more difficult than expected to find a name that could empower the technical community to think differently about how to get to their goals. From there the logo of a binocular looking at mountains.

And no, we are not a yoga studio for the ones who wonder, even though we aim to bring peace of mind for our customers and community supporting us.

Who is behind FuturaYA?

Well, grab a virtual drink and let us tell you a story. It all started in a bar (as many good stories do), after a particularly grueling day battling the complexities of the tech world. A few of us, veterans of the Cloud and Cybersecurity vendor trenches, along with some B2C business survivors, were philosophizing (aka complaining) about the state of the cybersecurity landscape. We were all united by a common goal: make cybersecurity easy. Not "easy" like "just click this button and hope for the best," but actually easy to manage, without breaking the bank. And while we were at it, let's help people use the cloud without needing a PhD in cost optimization.

Fast forward a few months, a flurry of phone calls, and a healthy dose of "are we really doing this?" moments, and FuturaYA was born. We decided to dive headfirst into the uncertain future, fueled by a mission to disrupt the status quo. Why should cybersecurity be a luxury? Why should managing your cloud feel like navigating a labyrinth? We believe it shouldn't. Cybersecurity should be affordable, easy to manage, and you shouldn't have to pay exorbitant fees to cloud providers.

We're not saying it's going to be easy (see: "uncertain future"), but we're committed to making a difference. Because awareness is progress, and that's why we're here. So, raise your virtual glass to disrupting the status quo! We're just getting started.

We are a team coming from Cloud and Cybersecurity vendors and B2C businesses, that have experience with business priorities and KPIs. We have a bias for action and know how to drive the right outcomes.

As technology evolves and the cloud landscape is getting more and more a necessity with the advent of AI, we are receiving the feedback that yes, cloud is expensive and cybersecurity is taken care of, but the questions I would like to ask are:

What is going to be the impact of AI models for your cloud costs? Can you quantify it?

Cloud costs are not only egress, what else are you doing today to keep costs down? And if so, how scalable is your architecture for the future?

Cybersecurity is a necessity: what are the steps that your business has taken to ensure visibility, monitoring and proactive remediation for your core assets? How long does it take? How often do you review processes and tools, to help the business to achieve 100% availability and keep the bad actors away from your data?

We are just getting started and we would love to hear your comments and what you think we can help with.
